Dean Gandy (27) of Park Way, Formby, appeared before North Sefton magistrates court today charged with beaching his bail conditions.
It was alleged he contacted the family of a man connected to an affray case for which he was on bail awaiting trial.
Defending Mr Alaric Walmsley said that the conditions of bail were unclear. The bench agreed and the bail conditions were amended to include the family of Mr Leonard McGibbon, whom Gandy had telephoned on January 25.He is also not to contact certain witnesses in the case, or his co-defendant.
Mr Gandy will appear before the court again on February 23 for committal proceedings to the Crown Court.
